  • new and experienced writers seeking a community in which to discover and deepen their writing voices.
  • women in need of new sources of creative inspiration in their lives and their work.
  • women in transition, and
  • those wishing to explore writing as a spiritual or healing practice, or as a tool of social change.

Classes are planned to provide time, space and skilled facilitation to:

  • create a supportive and welcoming atmosphere
  • provide respectful feedback on writing in large and small groups.
  • discuss readings of essays, stories, poems, and creative non-fiction by participants, and
  • encourage on-going writing practice

What women have said about the class:

I love the time to create, giving voice to my words and thoughts, the openness of the listeners, and receiving feedback. It is a gift to have this time for myself.

Writing always teaches me something about myself and helps me move forward in my life.

It is a gift to listen to sister voices, to hold their words, and in turn to have my words held and listened to.

Gift of being here: A chance to try my voice again.

I am always amazed by the diversity and richness of our words.
